There are so many places to visit and things to do in and around Mevagissey. But if you have realised what a great central location we have there really is no excuse not to explore Cornwall fully from one base. With a fantastic network of roads many other places of interest, towns, villages, gardens and harbours are just a short drive away making day trips stress free. Why not visit The Minack Theatre, Charlestown with its Shipwreck Centre, Looe, Polperro, Padstow, Newquay, Truro, Fowey, Penzance or Falmouth for its new Maritime Museum for starters?
We have included photographs of some of our favourite places around Cornwall on our website but hope you will enjoy seeing them for yourself.
You will find an extensive information pack in your room with endless ideas of things to do here, below are a few suggestions to wet your appetite!
The world renowned Lost Gardens of Heligan are only a short distance from our beautiful location, in fact you can see Heligan House from on our patio! The gardens were lost for many years under mountains of ivy, bramble and laurel. Heligan is the largest European garden restoration project ever attempted. They comprise eighty acres of pleasure grounds plus a complex of walled gardens and a huge vegetable garden. The garden also incorporates the woodland valley, the Home Farm and an innovative, hi-

Six of Cornwall's finest gardens are in the care of the National Trust; Antony, Cotehele, Lanhydrock, Trelissick, Glendurgan and Trengwainton, covering between them a huge variety of plants, styles, features and moods.
In addition to the loveliness of the gardens, they all have tea rooms or restaurants and shops to enhance your visit, and there are renowned art and craft galleries at Trelissick and Cotehele. Alongwith Five of Cornwall's best loved historic houses (Lanhydrock, Cotehele, Anthony, Trerice, and St Michaels Mount), which are owned, protected and opened to the public. Other property in their care include carefully preserved examples of Cornwall's industrial past, such as mine engine houses and of course miles of spectacular coastline.

Fishing and Boat trips can be booked on the harbour or in the Angling shop, whether you want just an hour pleasure trip round the bay or a whole day. Also self drive boats for hire at Aquarium slip.
This is one of the most beautiful areas of Cornwall, a personal favourite of ours and only a short drive away. There are lots of sandy coves to explore, quiet beaches to relax, stunning coastal and river scenery, miles of coastal path to walk, as well as pretty villages to drive through. You can catch a boat/or ferry from St Mawes over to Falmouth or up the beautiful River Fal to Truro.
No trip to Cornwall is complete without a visit to this bustling town which is an artists delight! Be sure to go to the Tate Gallery.
Due to its position right on the coastal path Wild Air provides an ideal location to stop off in the Mevagissey area and we can even transport your luggage onto your next destination while you walk; plus provide a packed lunch, although advance notification is requested. Alternatively if you are here for a few days we can suggest some stunning walks for you to enjoy and find some hidden beauty spots too! We also have drying facilities for any wet gear you may have.
